Welcome to JU Alumni Melbourne Chapter,

I consider it an honour to be the President of Jadavpur University Alumni Association, Melbourne Chapter, as this association and the University both are very special to me.  

We started our journey in 2003 to promote charitable, literary, cultural and educational pursuits. Over the years, we have organised numerous cultural programs and charity work that has helped develop this alumni association into something bigger and better that benefits our community. In recent years we have put together events like the Musical Concert with Jayati Chakraborty, one of the most eminent singers from Kolkata and Jadavpur University Natyotsav of 2017 where JU Alumni Association- Sydney Chapter and Bengali Association of Victoria staged their plays. Our numbers have grown steadily and now we have almost a hundred alumni members who share a strong connection.

However, we have realised that to maintain regular communication with our existing members and all the JU alumni across the world, having a website is necessary. I trust that this website will provide the required information to people who are interested to know more about our association and its activities. You can also follow upcoming activities and information on our Facebook page. We look forward to your active participation and support in our future endeavours.

Let me conclude by thanking all of you for your support and we look forward to the continued support and active involvement of the entire membership to carry out our activities in the coming year.
